I did find the solution to that window problem.
The track that's attached to the window bottom wasn't in the correct position. Subsequently the window lift rollers would come out of their channels in half closed position. The fix was to carefully pry off the track, clean both the window and the track up and then use adhesive to re-attach in the correct position.
I'm not sure how that track got into the wrong position. Perhaps that window was replaced at some point or it gradually "walked" through repeated opening and closing.
