No side jobs. But a lot of DIY. There is no better way to make money. As a DIYer you don't just save the money you would have to pay someone for a task, but you are also able to buy things for cheap that others couldn't. Such as a high mileage car, or an older appliance, or a bicycle that needs a little work. And when you sell something, you can get it into good shape and get top dollar, where others just throw it on the curb, trade it in or bring it to Goodwill.
Once I am no longer holding down a full time job, I am sure I will have hobbies that produce some cash. But likely it will be break even at best. Otherwise it wouldn't be called a hobby!
