Since I live in Southern CA and the sun eats car covers like crazy, another racing buddy who had to keep his car outside said to use 2, yes 2 covers. So, I bought a high-end waterproof cover which was expensive as all possible and a cheap one from Pep Boys to go over the good cover. The cheap one would last a year and a half usually and they were $20 to $25 so I would get another one so the good cover would not rot!
