I know some guys run 17" track wheels for a wider choice of modern, sticky, hi-perf tires at reasonable prices. IMO, these wheels hit 2 out of 3 from "light", "strong", "cheap" (at least, they used to be - and that's relative). And they don't suck to look at.
They'll accept 225/45/17 & 255/40/17 under SC flares (need to roll the front fenders) - more rubber than factory 930's came with. And far better tires available now.
The extra wheel weight/tire height may cause performance degradation in an N/A application, but add 200HP or so and you'll never notice...
