Thanks. The silver on the wheels was not in great shape due to some curb rash fixes and at least one wheel tipping over "face first" onto a asphalt driveway (yes, the spokes stick out further than the rim). Rather than having them refinished in the original silver, I decided to do the rattle can gold & clear myself.
The lighting wasn't great for this photo so the antique gold color on the wheels doesn't show up as much as I would like.
I have experience both applying and removing Plasti-dip coatings on wheels and there are various methods for removing this coating. You may find this web site helpful:

That reference shows that the 993 Cup wheels are about the same weight as the 911 Carrera 3.2 Fuchs rims and that the MM wheels are about 10 lbs (each) heavier than the OEM Fuchs wheels. Notably, that doesn't include the increase due to the larger tire size. Fyi, I have not verified this but intend to.
