Impact bumper conversions were popular to “impress” people that it was a newer version post ‘74 911. Long hood styling was not appreciated by some people until many years later.
It looks like it has post ‘78 flares so I would probably leave those on (expensive to convert back with new paint), but I would spend the extra money to convert the bumpers back to a ‘70 911. If you have the money and time, with the flares and a duck, it could make nice Carrera RS tribute and probably bring nice coin on BAT.
Like it sits, a mostly finished project 911 with a straight tub (clear title) with some needs, I would say it would probably pull around $40k-$50k. This car is for someone who likes the color and wants a similar build stage car to make his own, or someone who could do some work and make a little $$ on BAT after the needs/bumpers are addressed.
