There must have been some context involved when I made that statement, probably related to my own SC/Turbo conversion. It really depends on how the car is set up. Yeh you probably shouldn't try to hit 150+ on the street in a stock SC with a big engine. I did "top out" the Red Rocket many times but it was gear limited to 145mph.
This thread makes me very sad. I sold the Red Rocket literally months before the prices on these cars went stratospheric. I gave it away. 15 years of development, modification and so many memories. It was so much more fun than any Porsche I've ever owned. No idea where that car is now, the guy I sold it to cashed out and more than doubled his money.
As for value, IMO if it was done right (and appears to have been), it should command similar money as a 930.
