I had the radiation treatment 3 years ago this past month (3 year PSA level undetectable) and get checked every 6 months. The docs felt they had caught it early enough to avoid the surgery. I had 32 consecutive daily treatments in this giant machine (it was brand new at the time) in a large, lead lined room in the new cancer institute here in Charlotte. Fingers crossed it continues to be at zero PSA. Good luck to all of you! I had sailed along with very low PSA levels for many years then suddenly it shot up to the danger zone and luckily for me the urologists got me in quickly for treatment.
