R1200S small oil leak
Hello,
Discovered a small about the size of a quarter spot of oil under my 07 1200 S. Nothing is obviously loose like oil cooler pipe etc. It looks like it is coming out up near where the clutch slave cylinder is located. Digging back through the archives it seems these engines were "notorious" for balance shaft seal issues. Could that be the case? I'm planning on selling the bike soon. A worst case scenario quote from the dealer was about $3600 parts and labor. But that is them replacing everything "while in there" from their experience. Bike only has 8k miles, just had new tires put on in fall 2022, I would think it would sell better being repaired. Thoughts?
