As with most sensors, the cam position sensor is a low voltage signal system, so you need to solder in the replacement connector and then cover with heat shrink tubing rather than attempting to use crimp connectors.

Over the years, we have lost count of how many "crimped in" sensor wire repairs we have had to remove and re-solder because the crimp connectors simply are not up to the job. Do it right the first time, you will sleep better.....
