Hi there! It took me quite some time to bite the bullet to spend the money to overhaul my ignition distributor on my Porsche 911sc. But after a while reading and understanding I realized there is only one way to go. The distributors need to be overhauled all 85 k miles and have to
be recurved and checked for the right timing advance. The wear out not only happens by the bushings from the shaft but also by a play of the teeth of the shaft. The loss of power can be in normal cases until 30 percent.
