I'm back!
You may have seen my post on this 2 years ago! I've done a lot more development with my ITB and water to air intercooler kits. I've also recently acquired my own dynapack!
(
still) (
AFAIK) stock internal '77 911 2.7 engine.
Engine code says NON-S engine (150 hp stock?)
Setup:
MoTec m150 - Modified USA Sports Car firmware on my development ECU
VAG R8
redtop coil on plug - these coils work better than the shorter blacktop coils!
Electronic ITBs with water to air intercoolers (I make sell these see here:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/374015064717
https://www.ebay.com/itm/373963592035 or PM me for more info)
ID1300X injectors
BorgWarner EFR 7670 Twin scroll IWG
Dual knock sensors
Dual wideband lambda pre turbo
997 style E-Pedal (I make / sell these too)
https://www.ebay.com/itm/373711396082
(switched to tilton pedal box with E- Pedal, dual brake masters, hydraulic clutch)
996 NA 6 speed gearbox with my own adapter kit (yes this is for sale PM if interested)
WAVETRAC diff (I am a dealer!)
My own MoTec Hall sensor for cam (available to buy) and crank position sensor
Full custom engine harness, tefzel wire etc (I made)
AEM e85 fuel pump
AEM fuel pressure regulator
All new fuel lines etc for ethanol
Cheap headers modified for v-bands, with a connection y-pipe to the turbo (going to remake this in the future with fully custom headers and larger diameter pipes etc)
Simple Titanium 3" exhaust with resonator can, custom mount made from some extra laser cut stainless I made work - Not that loud at all! (my first time welding Ti) - please don't hate my welds too much D:
Car is full flex fuel with MoTec. Can run any mixture of normal gas up to 100% ethanol. Usually runs e85 as did on this dyno.
1.2-1.3 bar boost (17-19 psi)
Dyno work all done on
(my very own!) Dynapack hub dyno
This car feels extremely fast
er, and I build fast Porsches for a living! (mostly 800hp+ 959s)
It FLYS
It has great lowend and spools nice and fast on the street. Spins the 315 width rear tires all the way through second gear at 60mph.
Driveability is fantastic.
Makes about 300whp on 91 octane gas at 0.8 bar and less timing. I almost never use pump however since E85 isn't hard to get here and cheap.
Something like 470hp at the crankshaft. I've been driving it HARD for (Many) 1000s of miles now with no signs of internal problems, but I assume it's
(probably past) the limit for a little mag block 2.7 - how long will it hold together?! I have a 930 case I'm building for this now
Here are some pics from today and last few months:
This thing is super fun to drive!
Next big experiment - probably going to switch to an upgraded 718 VGT turbo. MoTec can easily control the turbo vane actuator. The car doesn't feel very laggy but it can always be better!
I'm super excited that Porsche made a pretty large VGT turbo for gas engines. The upgraded units seem able to flow around 650+ hp with basically no lag at all! Amazing. Gathering parts for that now
Feel free to ask and criticize away!
