heating/tapping worked great for getting the fan off the shaft...
My problem is that although off the shaft, the fan won't clear to remove it. Yes, i could remove the entire housing/alternator/fan, but honestly was just looking to quickly swap the fan itself for a non painted one.
It's tantalizingly close, but will not clear.
