nope, have to remove the wheel, then clamshell to get the tach out. Be VERY careful when separating and reconnecting thr clamshell.. there are the little tabs that the side screws go into. those tabs WILL break!.. and then there will be nothing to screw into and the clamshell will not no longer be secured. done it many times.. inevitably the tabs get weak when trying to put the clamshell back on.
