I just cringe at spending $800+ for the hard oil line...
Maybe 2 pieces of rubber hose and clamps? Hard to find oil compatible rubber hose that's 7/8 ID..
Ideas?
I feel like soldering this would be risky??

I know someone with a broken oil line. He cut out the crushed/cracked section, replaced with rubber hose, and generic hose clamps.
So far, it seals and works and doesnt leak. Not what I would do but if it works, why not...
He is a pensioner on a budget so was reluctant to buy new hard lines understandably.
