Randy, you are not imagining things. Sadly, PP is infested with scammers, and not very sophisticated ones. I once was looking for a Klein screwdriver andd pisted a WTB ad on PP. I was immediately contacted by a person who was a pretty obvious scammer. I asked him for a photo of the screwdriver and he sent me a photo of some pliers.
