Agree with the foam! I got these from Amazon when I did the door cards^ and new 6” speakers up front in the SC: https://a.co/d/eFUWzy2 - I cut a little slit on the back to feed the wire through (and allow for any drainage).
The pro is that if you ditch the plastic OEM-style covers you can go much bigger on the speakers.
