I'm working on my own setup in my '77 911S. Do you mount the speaker directly to the door or the door card? I ask because the PO mounted them on the door card because the 5 1/4" speaker is slightly too small for the hole in the door - I would likely need some sort of adaptor to mount them to the door itself. Maybe I should look for a 6" speaker.
