I’m always amazed, when I see situations like you mentioned. It seems so elementary to have the valve somewhere, where you’re not getting hit with cold water.
And I guess it’s easier for the plumber, but a lot of times I see the vanity, toilet and tub valve on the same wall. I can remember bathing our kids with a toilet right there and reaching for the valves. I try to put the tub plumbing on the opposite side now.
