It is particularly sad because he was so looking forward to retirement in SC and enjoying life around his family. He had a son and daughter that are both doing very well in the world and in the prime of young life, bringing him lots of joy. It breaks my heart.
Maybe later when time allows, I will share some of my experiences with him. He was a great guy and a real "man's man," very fun to be around. We actually shared a lot in common, just not online politics.
He will be missed by so many.

Denis,
Thanks for this and I am still shaking my head at this news. Michael Holloway just posted "Seahawk is down" on Facebook about 20 minutes ago and this is the first I had heard that he was even sickly.
He and I had many long chats, especially when I was flying in the Middle East and Africa. Boy... am still blown away that he is gone.
Fair winds and following seas Sir! RIP Seahawk my friend!
