That does scare the crap outta ya, huh? BTDT only I was gettin' on it & by the time I was shifting the tach was hittin 4500. So, needless to say, when I pushed in the clutch the tach bounced off the 7K mark
It was the spring. I had the same thought with the cable but, luckily, the spring was the easy fix
