At the present time one particular type of Kumho tire is being recalled and therefore can't be used on the track. Plenty of people use Kumho tires so sweeping, unsubstaniated and non-factual generalisations don't help anybody.
Different tires also sometimes need different wheel alignments and it also depends on the type of driving you are doing. The Yoko AVS ES100 is a great tire and we have several customers with them.
If you haven't already, make sure you 964 has a good four-wheel alignment with a set up for the type of driving you do.
