funny gee things.
1> Took ages before people sussed it was a "white" guy playing a black guy, from a white stereotypical view
2> in his weekly show, he always used a term Punani, which Channel 4 did'nt pick up, until someone wrote in and complained (when the series finished) that it was a black term referiing to a women's, sexual organ.
blatently being used before the watershed !
3> more white people complained about the ali-g charachter being racist, than black people.
4> best bits on the ali g show,
i) Amazing Staines - (re-written version of amazzing grace)
ii) Sending relief to Asia sketch,
Ali wanted to send technics turntables to asia, so poor kids like "usamma" could make real mix tapes, quoting, "Give a man a mix tape and he'll dance all night, teach him how to mix and he'll dance for life"
iii) remixing artists tracks live on the show, best one was, Chrissy Hind (sp?) she did one of her slow ballads so he started putting a fast D&B bassline and speeded her up.
iv) the ALI Gee dancers,,,, ahhhhhhhhh well fit, in all dat tight black leather
v) the spoof interviews with people. Interviewing a guy who was an economist and asking him about how to be rich, and then saying "Like if I had a thousand pounds I'd be a millionaire !" guy replies no you wouldnt so ali says "So how much money do I need to be a milionaire"
vi) In the film, feeling up this fit asian girl, then his g/friend walks up and says "Oi stop feeling up neena",
Oh Sorry I gots mixed up I though she was you, she replies "funny you dont get confused with mary!" (que big fat girl)
