Thank you for the responses. My main reason for contemplating changing my stock 914 mirrors has to do with safety, not appearance. While appearance is important, safety is my primary concern. While it is true that there are other cars with worse visibility, that is of no real concern to me. Probably because I am spoiled by the added visibility/safety of today's cars, I want everything going for me as I tearing around in my 175hp 914-6. I also wouldn't mind updating the looks somewhat. This is a purely personal choice and I know people will have a difference of opinion. It's kinda like people putting flares and 993 or speedline rims are their cars. By the way, I think that looks great.

Based on the various response I have had, I am seriously thinking about going with Ford Escort GT mirros. They look like the 911 flag mirror but smaller. I am still open to ideas. Thanx again for the input.
