I'm a former 914 owner, a nice '71 and not so nice '72, both 1.7s. They were replaced last spring by an extremely attractive 912E I bought from the third owner, near Portland, OR. I had it shipped to St Louis, then brought it out to the new home in Las Vegas.
A stumble on the initial smog test led to a tune-up that got things right, and except for some possible motor mount issues I have really enjoyed the car.
Anyway, I am very happy to see 912E posts here.
