Cleaning Anodized Wheels
Okay, so I searched all of the fuch's refinishing discussions and couldn't find the answer to this questions.
What is the best way to clean anodized rims? I just got back my wheels from Harvey Weidman, they are aluminum 944 space saver spares for my 356. He anodized them and they look great.
Harvey recommended soap and water for cleaning to avoid any staining. Though he warned me grease was hard to get off, and there is a little bit of grease on the wheels from the tire mounting. Anyway soap and water didn't cut it. I used a little spit shine and elbow grease with marginal success.
How does everyone else clean their anodized rims? and any success with grease in particular.
Thanks,
