Flat4, either a 1600 or 1800cc probably. Those things will run for forever through hell and high-water. My first Subaru was a 1985 GL, that thing wouldn't die. Careful of the turbos, they had a reputation for running hot and burning up pretty badly.
I vote you use it in some form for the GRM 2005 challenge.
