Fun things to do with a subaru?

There's an 80's subaru wagon down the road from me, it's wrecked in the front and it's been for sale there for as long as I can remember, I'm thinking of going and offering him $25 for it, towing it to my friend's place(has a big barn I can work in) and making a fun little project out of it.

Don't really know what I can do, my plan is to just take it completely apart, to the point where it's just a tub, and then do something fun.

Any ideas? What would YOU do?

edit: 13 inch rice pipe and airplane wing will obviously be neccesary

Buy it for $25 bucks, have it towed to a factory that is being closed down due to Asian imports, stand out in front of it with a hand full of bats and charge $1 for three wacks. You may just make yurself a tiddy sum. After it has been beat unrecognizable, haul it to the scrap yard and collect another $50 for the iron.

Now thats capitalizm!

Hmm that doesn't sound too bad, I'm always up for a good business venture... But I do want to **** around with this car a little bit first.

Do those things have the flat-4 in 'em?

Buy a 914 roller and transplant it!

Yeah, I think it might be turbocharged too. That 914 idea is pretty good... time to do some pricing research.

My idea:
Enter it in the Grassroots Motorsports 2005 Challenge.

On a $2005 budget, participants must 'create' a car that competes in three venues: drag race, autocross, and concours.

Flat4, either a 1600 or 1800cc probably. Those things will run for forever through hell and high-water. My first Subaru was a 1985 GL, that thing wouldn't die. Careful of the turbos, they had a reputation for running hot and burning up pretty badly.

I vote you use it in some form for the GRM 2005 challenge.

If you're gonna mock the ricers with it, paint it with house paint every couple of weeks, make a giant wing out of plywood... put 13" spinner hubcaps on it, make a front air dam with some bondo/plywood combo... something really dorky looking... adapt a coffee can for a muffler tip, spraypaint some sweet graphics on there... The more ridiculous the better.

ooh and a bumper sticker "My other car is a Porsche"

yank anything you dont need and most of the bodywork off, put the radiator on top the engine (like a hummer), weld on a rollbar/cage, put on some skinny 31 inch mud tires. then take it to the pit and pretend you are fifteen again..

Haha, I have an 85 GL wagon right now, 330,000km's, and it just won't die. I drove it the whole way to school with no oil pressure!

burn it out of oil, then replace the oil with water. and just put a brick on the accelerator and let it rev til it blows up. Some kids were doin it for a day on a civic and it took a beating for liek 12 hours until it blew up.

Do burnouts with it, neutral drop it (if its an auto). It'll be so much for for $25

Had a late 70's wagon in highschool in Alaska. Rust had eaten the fenders so dad and I welded up a safari type cage to protect the car (and me). Car was 4 wheel drive and I beat the crap out of it for 3 years before I left for college. was great for running down small sapplings and fording small streams. It was the only car that would start at 40 below with out being plugged in. Ahh the memories.
