enrique, I had the same problem a few years ago. From all accounts i decided to glue the foam side to the firewall. I'm pretty sure thats correct. In this way, when the foam breaks down after time it can't make a mesh and enter the carbs like the older one. i coated both surfaces with contact adhiesive and brought them together. It's a bit tricky though.
