I've owned several KTM dirt bikes in the last decade. I have to say they were the most well-constructed, made-out-of-the-best material offroad machines I've ever had and I've owned tons of all makes. The frames don't have bolt holes that egg-out. the forks don't bend, the grade-8 fasteners don't round out. The cylinder bore material doesn't flake off; the crank doesn't spread and phase-shift and start a horrendous vibration (are you listening honda..my CR500 was a piece of feces compared to my KTM) the shock linkage doesn't need constant attention (there isn't one; the PDF white power shock setup is a model of simplicity and supple, responsive suspension design)...and it flat outhandles all those 4-stroke monstrosities like a WR426...and it starts when hot (try starting a CRF450 after 2 hours of a 100 mile enduro...if you can). every time I ride my 380EXC hard, I say under my breath 'KTMagic)....and it's as fast in a straight line as a 525 or CRF450, and weighs 40LBS less....I can't wait to try a superduke...
