Engine Weight?
I was reading the safe for wife thread and something caught my eye. Somebody said that the wider tires in the rear became necessary with the heavier bumpers and engines. Well I have an 84 engine in my 77 911S and I don't have SC flares unfortunately so I'm running 205's all around. My question is, how much additional weight is this larger engine? And does anyone have a reccomended set-up for minimizing my chance of losing my back-end in a tight corner? Clearly, SC flares and wider wheels would do it, but that's way out of my budget.
Any thoughts or info would be greatly appreciated.
