I just checked and my options list indicates that an extended wheel hub was ordered with the car. I guess driving position is a personal variable but I just like my arms to have a good extension with about a 30 degree bend at the elbows. It feels cramped with the wheel so close to have a 90 degree bend. I've tried every seat position combination and nothing feels perfect to me. I have not had this with my other vehicles, BMW 325is, Nissan 280ZX, Triumph TR-6 and 2 dozen others I'll have to replace the hub to suit my liking I guess.
