still doing this degrease, on and off. Found some leaks around 2 oil return tubes so replaced those. Also, I degrease around the control arms / cv joints near the wheel








I also had a go inside the wheel arch and found the black stuff comes off to reveal white underneath. Is is safe to remove this stuff in lieu of corrosion protection? I thought this might be a good idea to keep an eye out for rust, but it would be a lot of work to get all that black stuff off...
