I once had a lead plug fall out of one of my 40 IDF Webers. The car suddenly began running rough and I could smell the gas that spilled onto the engine. I stopped the car before anything happened and was able to find the leak and then the plug at the base of the intake manifold. It was sort of pill shaped and was apparently a press fit into the port. I cleaned and dried the port and plug, added a little epoxy, and replaced the plug. It worked well for years after that.
I am not sure if you can buy replacement plugs or not. I guess you should check the usual Weber parts dealers.
