Jerry, I have just completed the same job on my car 77 carrera 3 and according to the factory porsche spec book I have it says to apply grease to the threads on the nut ( ball joint to control arm that is and torque to 250Nm)this is the only nut to grease according to this book. I also applied grease to all surfaces on the wedge pin except for its thread
