Mystery parts in my door

A short while ago I jumped in my 88 911 Cab and ran the driver's window down. I heard a clank that sounded like a metal part had dropped to the bottom of the door. I gingerly ran the window up and it seemed OK. All other operations of the door still seem normal.

Today I took the door apart, using the tech article from our fine host. In the bottom of the door were the parts in the attached picture. They may be unrelated but they were sitting next to each other near the front of the door. The metal part seems to be of aluminum. The flat part is a pliable plastic part made of two nested pieces with a slot through the middle.

The plastic part looked like it could be part of the door arrester but I'm not sure.

The metal part looks kinda bent and twisted. I could not find a home for it. The scissors mech for window looked OK and had no similar parts in sight. Nothing seemed loose or wobbly. The window motor is hard to see but what I saw of it looked intact.

I consulted my PET CD and could not I.D. these parts. After patching the plastic sheeting, I just put it all back together.

Any thoughts?
