Most of the dead zones I used to suffer from (including my office, right in the middle of crowded Santa Monica) have full-bar signals now.

My legacy started with LA Cellular, that became AT&T wireless, that became Cingular.
I blew it last year when I purchased a new phone/contract for my wife and got absorbed by Cingular. I should have got her on a separate account instead of the Cingular family plan. Meant new phones for both of us. Was hoping for some improvement in overall connectivity, but alas, signals are still dropped for no apparent reason. Latest greatest phones, still mediocre service. I think all cell providers are lacking the necessary towers to keep us connected at all times, even in the middle of town.
