I am looking at getting a 69 912 that is in great condition, but the paint is pretty dated and in need of attention. I have called around the local area, and have gotten ballpark estimates of around $6K and six to eight weeks. This is for a complete disassembly, strip down, color change professional paint job.

I have never had complete paint job done on any of my vehicles so I am a little green about costs and time. Does this sound to be at least fair?

I would have posted this in the 912 forum, but it isn't frequented by as many people. Sorry.
