The other night when i was driving home I hit the breaks pretty hard and felt it pull to the left, I then did it again and notice that when I let go of the wheel it would spin hard to the left. The feeling was as if only one of the calipers were not gripping but im not really sure. the pads on the car are fairly new also.

I was wondering if there was a way that I could inspect my brakes to see if the calipers are gripping.

Any input on how to go about fixing the problem is appreciated. I have thought about just taking the car to my mechanic but i want to start working on my car myself
