I spoke to my local Porsche shop today and they advised that Mobil1 15W50 is not available at all in Canada any more, so I will need to explore some of the alternatives you mentioned.

SW chip is great. I have never driven the stock chip, as the P.O. had installed another (Autothority I think) aftermarket chip. It was a good performer too (tough to say which put out more power without a dyno), but it had a very rough idle that drove me nuts, which the SW chip has addressed beautifully. Buy it - you will like it.
