Not sure I would agree with that analysis, Strugs. In a water cooled engine he is probably correct, but in an air cooled engine there are advantages to the higher temperature capabilities of synthetic.
Don't expect the lealing to be significantly differnt either.
Having said that, I use Castrol dino oil.
