I had to call Al gore's office and personally thank him for this thread. Before reading this thread, I would have punched anyone who said there was such thing as an ugly 935 right in the gut. Man, the crimes against nature these guys performed in the name of aero should have been punished.
It never sunk in to me how these cars were "produced". When I saw the details in Bruce Anderson's book, I guess I thought it was that particular car that had the pedal arrangement or adjustable sway bar, not all of them. I never realized how many of the cars were from the factory. I figured most built their cars and just bought the engines and perhaps the suspension from Porsche.
One question I would ask is why no one got around to double A-arms on the front. the space is certainly there once you cut off the bulkheads.
