I can tell from your posting that you really want a Carrera. If so,
get it. I just passed on an 189k-mile Carrera for 13k, it had a
rebuild on the motor and clutch, but it also had a few oddities
such as a dent, a missing engine pad, a buzzing sound in the dash,
etc. But the price was good. Carreras for around 105k can be had
for 17-18k, and I know of a 55k Carrera mint, going for only 23k.
Also decide if you really want a Targa- a while ago I decided not
only no more SCs, but also no more Targas. Targas leak and I
don't like how they look from behind. To each his own. But get
what you want. As everyone says you will soon have 20k in it,
so you might was well get what you wanted in the first place.
