Some time ago on this forum I dialogued with Early_S_Man and Grady Clay regarding a noise in my 88' Carrera's CV's (

Well, I am now taking the plunge and tonight removed the inboard flange bolts and even though it seems obvious I cannot find any confirmation of how to remove the outboard piece. Forgive a silly question but do I have to remove that nasty looking huge nut on the end of the axle (doh!) to get the entire assembly out? I have read the CV threads here many times and this is alluded to in one thread where the need for a 3/4" drive and a piece of pipe are mentioned. Hey, that's my car at Pacific Raceways this summer!
