Uknown object velcro'd under glove compartment
Some sort of sensor fell down from under passenger side foot well of my 91 C2. Looks like a mutant EKG sensor. 1 wire going to a round disk with 3" diameter. Disk is shiny black and soft. Wire emanates from around the climate controller. Seems to have originally had double sided tape on it but previous owner tried to velcro it back.
Any clues?
Also, if anybody has unknown heat coming from passenger side foot well, it is probably because the metal hose (with paper around it) carrying heat from heat exchanger to front of car is probably cracked. Mine was. Just remove rug-covered plastic piece directly in front of passenger door and you will see the hose. With car running and engine hot, you will feel hot air if hose is broken. Seems this is a common problem.
