Interesting. Rafal---looks like there may have been a change in oil capacity somewhere in the 84-87 range. My '87 manual actually states "6.87 U.S. quarts (turbo 7.4)" Given the information from Stray and Crazy, I'd probably put in 6 quarts, run it (so oil filter is full, be sure to change oil filter of course), then check dipstick. Bet you'll be right on the money. If you're a little low, you can always add the extra you need to bring it right to the full mark.
