Sounds familiar
My father had 1990 SHO that had clutch replaced under recall. My 94 SHO had brakes replaced twice and the fuel pump replaced, steering rack replaced and a host of other things. Engine was never an issue though... it was all the Ford crap that they bolted to it that was the issue.
Also the big issue with those cars is the location of the computer.... it was to close to the exhaust... overheated the computer causing the cars to shut down.... mine did it as did my fathers 2nd SHO 1993 auto.
Oh well. It was fun racing BMWs and such with a lowly taurus... as far as many of them could tell.
