Sounds pretty positive - reconfirming what my impression was so far.
Isn't it all national forest up there? That's one of the top requirements - being close to the SG mountains. I haven't even looked at other towns like Diamond Bar, Walnut etc.
Is there an airport (even hobby type) close by that adds a lot of noise?
I drove around in Glendora for about 15 mintues and liked the area off Loraine Ave. north of Foothill. What stood out was:
Older, well kept homes on large (for CA) lots.
Mature trees and landscaping.
Wide roads with bike lanes! (Unseen in any other town out there!)
Large public library.
Old downtown area with shops and restaurants.
The area seems big enough that it shouldn't be a problem to find a decent rental before school starts after summer. If you have any leads to a rental, let me know. Please also, if you have more input, fire away!
Thanks!!!
George
