Sierra Madre Elementary is pretty crappy, according to city-data. (65 points out of 100, while Glendora has 3 Elementary schools with over 90 out of 100 points). Rent in Sierra Madre is roughly $800-1000 more a month than in Glendora for the same size house. I get to work fairly late and stay late, so traffic should not be a big issue. However, before I decide, I will drive to work in the a.m. from Glendora and see for myself how bad it is. I'll do it a couple times and compare the surface street and the interstate route. Biking is also an option, but it may be for people with a death wish only, since bike lanes seem to be an unknown concept in the area overall.
