From the looks of it, you could say core value (I own 2 69 S's). Rebuilds are expensive as some parts were only used in 69 (valves) and the MFI will need an expensive rebuild also.

Being so old (and looking at the red paint on the fan) perhaps someone already took it apart so its hard to know if it has all the correct S specific parts on it.

I have seen non running cores (actually bought one for $1300) and have seen them listed for $1500 to $3500.

Is this something you are selling or thinking of buying? I'm looking for a 69 S case but will consider a whole engine for the right price.
